Sudan Experience Project: Participant Release Form

I,____________________ am a volunteer participant in the Sudan Lessons Learned Project of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). I understand that USIP will not publicly attribute statements made in my project interview to me by name or title unless specifically authorized by me. However, attribution to me may be made upon the official request of a U.S. government agency to the extent required by law.

I hereby grant to USIP the right to record, store, edit, use, sell, and/or disseminate all information collected as part of my interview without attribution for education and training purposes. I release USIP from any claims or demands that may arise from the use of such materials.

I grant to USIP’s project contractor, the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training (ADST), permission to include the text of my interview as part of its Foreign Affairs Oral History Collection, with the understanding that ADST will not attribute the interview to me by name without my consent.

I shall not divulge in my interview any information that is classified under a United States Government security classification.

Nothing in this release precludes or restricts my own right to use, publish, or otherwise disseminate the content of my Sudan project interview.
